a very simple pie

serving for one, seen many like it in some very early 17th century still lifes...

given, I could have glazed it up a bit and cooked it a little longer... could have prettied it up a bit as well, however I did not

It's tougher than it looks btw, before taking the picture I had flipped it over... stuck it in a container, flipped it upside-down to take it out and then flipped it up again to take the snap shot. You can nearly tell how thick the paste is from the line near the bottom.
This was one of the articles I took with me to the event to munch on this weekend past.
